Getting Your Gear Ready for Diving

Spring has Sprung! It’s time to gear up and jump into the water with our state-of-the-art diving equipment and camera systems.

Hold on, folks. Don’t’ jump to soon. Most of us have been out of the water much too long during these winter months and our gear, including our precious underwater photo systems, have been lying dormant in storage.

My suggestion is to check over all your diving equipment. If it’s been over 18 months since the last service date of your equipment, I suggest taking it in… Continue

Back to Photo Basics

Trying to make sense of all those articles on digital cameras? Hard to if you don’t know what the words mean. So it’s back to basics. Defining the terms.

Just a few years ago, terms such JPEG and pixels were just as foreign as reproduction ratio and depth of field. My, how things have changed. One thing remains the same: there are so many frequently used terms in underwater imaging that many shooters don’t know.… Continue

Are you ready? If so, let me enlighten you on how to go select a digital came… Continue

Then came a small wooden box with a small hole in the center with a glass lens that allowed light to pass though. The image was projected to the opposite side of the box and recorded on a sheet of pewter coated with light-sensitive comp… Continue

I definitely will stop in at the new store. I'm leaving in the morning for 3 weeks in Hawaii, so I may not make it until I get back. But I have a backlog of gear servicing to bring to you. I didn't know where to take it so I procrastinated...lol.
