Tired of going on trips and not knowing anyone and the only time you are talked to is when roll call is done, well not on a CIDA trip. At CIDA we don't treat you like a number, we treat you like a friend.

The best part of diving is the diving and 2nd part is talking about diving , having fun, meeting new divers and non-divers, going to some cool unqiue places and socializing. That is what CIDA is all about, having adventures and events, not just a trip!

Lots of cool new & exciting trips for 2012- check it out at the new Channel Islands Dive Adventures Trip Schedule

Come join CIDA on there next adventure. Check out the Trip Schedule page and sign-up for the monthly CIDA newsletter through the Channel Islands Dive Adventures website

The new year has brought many changes for Channel Islands Dive Adventures, the website has been changed and updated, a new shopping cart has been installed and now we can except credit cards, phone orders along with Paypal and Google checkout. We can now also except phone in reservations for dive trips if you would rather not pay online. CIDA has also added more trips and 2 warm water vacations to help meet the needs of our friends and customers. Most of our trips have more of an emphasis on wrecks and advanced dive sites although there are some that will meet the needs of  basic Open Water divers. Please take a look and come join us on our next adventure!

Who wants the chance to dive a plane wreck in southern Ca.? There aren't many planes to dive and there are still a couple spots left on the Channel Islands Dive Adventures trip to dive the TBM Avenger off Anacapa on July 17th aboard the Raptor. This is a cool deep dive (115'-120'). Don't miss out, sign-up thru the CIDA website or call/email Ken.

Channel Islands Dive Adventures had 2 great trips in the past 2 weeks. The 1st was aboard the Raptor to the Spirit of America (Peacock) off Santa Cruz Island with awesome conditions on 4/18 and then the Peace to Gull Island on the backside of Santa Cruz Island on 4/25. If you would like to read more about each trip then check out the past dive trip articles.

Looking forward seeing and meeting y'all kind CIDA folks on the 20th.

here is the article:

The OPV Recall: Illustrates why you should check all your gear today.

This is Seeded from John McKenzie of http://blog.wetcatscuba.com/?p=704

it is much too important NOT to spread this virally. . . don’t count on the manufacturers. . they don’t have your best interests in mind.

We can take care of your Dive Rite wing OPVs if you need help. Welcome to the Tribe called K2!

By John McKenzie, on February 7th, 2010

image You giant stride from the gate of the dive boat into the cold swells of the Pacific Northwest’s emerald sea. But unlike on other entries you don’t bob quickly back to the surface with your OK sign beaming. “What’s up?! I am sinking!” goes through your mind. You have an important first choice – whether or not to panic. No panic and you have some good options for recovery and more dives. Panic and you may have only a few minutes before drowning.
